Increasing numbers of weather-related disasters -- violent storms, wildfires that have ravaged more than 2 million acres in the Rocky Mountains, and drought conditions affecting some two-thirds of the United States -- should have IT executives scurrying to update their disaster recovery plans.
ASEAN-EU exchange knowledge in disaster response, management
ROME, Italy, July 9 - Senior representatives from 10 Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member-states visited Europe last week to observe European Union (EU) arrangements in managing disasters.
The visit is part of the “EU-ASEAN Knowledge Exchange Activity,” aimed towards greater cooperation and exchange of skills and practices, said a press statement from the ASEAN.
